Spoof writer NickFun was publicly accused today of writing stories based entirely on fabrications, innuendos and outright lies, according to Mark Lowton, editor and sole proprietor of the popular web site TheSpoof.com.
"We hold our writers to the highest journalistic integrity", Lowton declared before the mainstream news media. "I have determined that NickFun has written mostly fabrications and falsehoods thus causing anguish in the lives of the celebrities, politicians and various other he has written about."
NickFun took personal responsibility for the stories he has written.
"I admit, I took some liberties with the truth", Fun stated. "But my stories always have at least an element of truth in them. Can the Los Angeles Times say that?'
Fun was forced to admit that swimmers for the upcoming Beijing Olympics will not be required to swim nude after all. He also made concessions that he knows nothing about Emma Watson's or Jenna Bush's first orgasms. In addition, there is only a smattering of evidence that John McCain is suffering the effects of Alzheimer's disease.
"The only story I wrote that is 100% factual is the one about white supremacists supporting Obama. However, before you throw me in jail, prove to me that the orgasm stories are NOT true", Fun suggested defiantly.
Several other Spoof writers are also being investigated.
