Amstetten, Austria - (Reuterus): Police are probing reports that a mysterious Opus Dei midwife attended the birth of all seven of Austrian incest nutter Joseph Fritzl's chidlren's dungeon births.
One source claims that Pope Joseph Ratzinger's personal confidante, housekeeper and litigation consultant Sister (sic) Ingrid Stampa paid $10,000 a time to an anonymous Teutonic midwife to minister to Rosemarie Fritzl's confinements.
The unnamed woman is believed to have trained at the Little Sisters of Mercy novitiate in the eponymous Austrian town of Fucking.
Amstetten investigators are considering a reward for more information on the midwife who is believed to head a special Opus Dei family planning committee.
A public appeal follows on Tuesday.
