The American Academy for the Denial of Reality has awarded Global Warming its 2010 Denial Awards ("Denny's").
"Competition was intense," said AADR spokesman Roger Clemens. "Evolution Denial put for its usual strong effort but fell short when the state of Florida unexpectedly accepted Darwinism. There were also noteworthy denials of reality by the Lo-Fat Diet Food Industry and books about John McCain's presidential campaign. But Global Warming Denial came roaring back like it had been a shot in the ass with two liters of Mark McGWire's favorite brand of human growth hormone."
The market for the Denial of Reality has shown strong growth over the last decade, according to industry expert "Scooter" Libby. "Truth has a lot of downsides," he said "Like prison time. Give me a good dose of denial any day!"
