Royal Courts of Justice - (Coronary Mess): The Coroner's Inquest into the death of Diana, Princess of Wales has issued a formal statement deploring a French decision which would allow the Parisian Sorbonne university to go ahead with proposals for a Henri Paul Motoring Skills Memorial Professorship.
The plans are believed to have been put forward by supporters of Ritz boss Mohammed Fayed.
Fayed stands to lose a fortune in insurance liability payments if the hotel is sued for negligence over events of the night of 31 August 1997.
Exonerating his deputy security chief and royal chauffeur has been a lengthy process on which Fayed has spent an estimated £10 million.
The latest controversy has stung the French investigating magistrate who officiated in the enquiry into the ex-Princess's death.
"Please do not worry about this trifling matter, we 'ave Fayed over a barrel," was his official spokesman's comment today.
Sans souci!
