A major writer for The Spoof, Derek Lambeth, revealed today that some stories were true. During a three hour long interview he told us, "When we can't think of anything funny sometimes the editor tells us to tell the truth....we use false names so that we can't be fingered. Some writers don't even come into the office, they go out interviewing people and send the stories in over the internet."
Mr Lambeth also makes accusations regarding money paid by leading politicians to reports so that they "spin" a certain story by telling the truth.
We staked out the offices of The Spoof and were eventually given the following statement, "Please stop hanging about here you are beginning to piss me off, if you don't stop pestering me I'll have no option but to call the police".
Despite a statement on their website saying "All items on this website are fictitious" we believe that at least 25% of the stories are true.
