The recent program for artificial insemination and breeding of Giant Pandas has backfired on the angry citizens of Southern China. Massive over breeding and lack of security have caused untold thousands of pandas to escape from zoos and private displays.
The City of Xhopeng has officially classed the black and white marauders as vermin. An official of the Truth and Enlightened Committee said last night to the world press, 'Panda everywhere, bloody nuisance'. His views have been echoed by other parts of the government.
Although unproven to date, it seems that local people are in fear of them and have been seen drowning cubs in the local Daiwet River. Bamboo shoots have disappeared from restaurant menus and Panda cub toys have been withdrawn from the Shops of Eternal Playtime and Education for the Youth of Great China.
Early reaction to this disaster has been mixed in the Western World. Both Madonna and Angelina Jolie are alleged to have chartered aircraft to the province and are hoping to adopt at least ten each of the cuddly pests. The NRA has also sent a fact finding team and have been quoted as saying, 'you can't miss a target that big'.
The Department for Homeland Security are concerned that an epidemic could hit the shores of the USA soon and teams of highly skilled operatives led by a Jack Bauer are sifting for information on 'illegal black and whites'. Any sightings of Pandas must be reported to the agency and anybody caught keeping, feeding or cuddling these creatures without a licence can get up to one year in a State Penitentiary
