It has been reported that the crown jewels along with other priceless royal treasures have gone missing.
A spokesman for the Queen said "We have hunted everywhere, every single room in the Queen's many properties has been searched from top to bottom" Chief Inspector Ben Dover from New Scotland Yard told a gathering crowd that theft was not thought to be the reason the jewels had gone missing, "It is more likely that one of the Royals has simply misplaced them".
An insider told our reporter that Prince Phillip had in the past been seen wearing the crown at family parties and games of strip poker, it's also rumoured that the Queen Mother would hang a pearl necklaces around her waist while dancing to ABBA records. A maid once told a local radio station that she had found pearls all over the Queen Mothers pillow following a Royal Variety Performance hosted by Jimmy Tarbuck at the London Palladium in the sixties.
Chief Inspector Ben Dover said "We are not unduly worried at the moment, these things have a habit of turning up, after all if you cant enjoy having such treasures what's the point?"
