Rome - (Ass Mess): Local residents have expressed condemnation and outrage at this year's traditional Nativity scene outside St Peter's Square which has portrayed the Magi as gay nomads looking for succour (sic) in Herod's hellish kingdom.
The Yuletide mannequins in the Nativity depict the Holy Family in a controversial light with the placing of a placard next to the Infant Jesus calling him the Holly Sucker in a barbed reference to the pains of breastfeeding.
Critics have also been scathing of this year's shepherds being shown as drunken oiks out on the prowl for the usual Saturday night of sheep-shagging whoopee.
And as for the Virgin Mother herself, whoever had the bright idea of using a Spitting-Image puppet of Michael Jackson in drag may have a lot of explaining to do before the Pontif's wrath explodes at Midnight Mass on Sunday.
