The Witch Is Dead for St Paul's

Funny story written by j.w.

In a rare alteration of royal protocol St Paul's Cathedral will be employing the latest hit 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' at the funeral of Margaret Thatcher next week instead of 'God Save The Queen'.

Soldiers from the Military Male Voice Choir were heard singing the wonderful song late into the night, practising for the big day, whilst several Tory MP's danced with excitement.

'This brings it all back' said Lord Toadit 'I remember the song from my youth and I am overjoyed that it is back in the hit parade. I only wish Maggie's friend Jimmy Saville was here to introduce it to the congregation'.

Foolish nutcases planning to sing 'God Save The Queen' instead of 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' were condemned by the Daily Mail and the Daily Express as 'quite outside the pale of human decency'.

Special Branch is planning to stifle any revolution before it breaks out by closing down London for the day of the funeral. 'Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead' will be safe.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
