You shouldn't have rocked the bloody boat, George

Canary Islands - Some weird astrological stuff in Aquarius the Water Carrier and Pisces the Fish has been blamed for the sinking of a lifeboat which crashed 65ft from an upper deck into the sea, killing five and injuring three.

The incident happened just as the New Moon was heading for an almighty astrological activation of a Mars/Neptune conjunction in the sign of Pisces, ruler of big waves, drug-taking and drunks.

Astrologers studying today's tragedy are looking at an additional, over-arching 90-degree Mars/Jupiter clash that last saw the Costa Concordia capsize in Italian waters during similar astrological turmoil in January last year.

According to a harbormaster's press release this evening crew members from The Thomson Majesty were carrying out a mandatory rescue drill during a stopover at Santa Cruz, La Palma when a bolt from the blue struck the ship and tipped them into the water.

The 679ft by 92ft nine deck luxury cruiser which was carrying 2,000 passengers and crew at the time of the incident was re-launched by Queen Elizabeth a few years ago following a name change from the MS Burka Queen.

She's now been grounded amid a major investigation 'just like The Thomson Majesty'.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
