The latest craze sweeping the United Kingdom could be headed stateside soon as British kids go head over heels trading collectable cards portraying the images of Members of Britain's Parliament.
The cards, manufactured by Ashbro, contain not only the photograph of the MP but details including political party, date of birth, age, length as an MP and how often they have failed to show up in Parliament for important votes.
The set consists of 650 cards and includes every MP currently sitting in British Parliament.
A packet contains six different cards and a stick of chewing gum.
It is anticipated that a set, depicting members of the US congress could be released in the US by July.
One parent said "The kids love these cards, my son nearly has a full set, the most sought after is of course David Cameron and he has swapped or traded six cards just to get a Cameron including a Nick Clegg, a Harriet Harman, an Iain Duncan Smith and a William Hauge."
Some hard to come by cards are fetching up to $50 on internet auction sites, with an extremely rare Louise Ellman, (Labour, Member representing Liverpool Riverside) being the most elusive.
