LOS ANGELES - The latest celebrity to check into the world famous Henry and Betty Ford Rehab Clinic is Whitney Houston.
The singer who had a mega hit with the Dolly Parton penned "I Will Always Love You" has recently been on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs regarding uppers and downers.
Her problems first surfaced when she married that no-account, low-life, coattail rider Bobby Brown, a man who was so controlling he even told Whitney what brand of deodorant to use.
After divorcing him she started dating males who were pretty much in the same league as Bobby Brown except for Alonzo Alfonso McJackson, who was even worse than Brown.
McJackson who played the glockenspiel in Whitney's band got into her good graces by telling her that she was prettier than Halle Berry.
He also told her that she had the most kissable lips since Diana Ross, the most attractive mouth since Marilyn McCoo of the Fifth Dimension, and the cutest butt since Roberta Flack.
Kevin Costner, who is very good friends with Houston, said that when they were filming the movie The Bodyguard he quickly learned that she had an ego that had to constantly be fed.
Costner told Grilletta Brewburger of Yippee-Ki-Yay Magazine that he literally had to tell her every five minutes that she was a much better singer than Barbra Streisand.
Kevin said that one time he forgot and she became so mad he thought that she was literally going to bite him but she ended up biting her script book instead.
Brewburger stated that after years and years of abusing her voice her octave range is gone. Another reason why she decided to check herself into the rehab clinic is because she finally realized that she could only hit two notes.
Costner has said that he is paying for Whitney's stay at The Henry and Betty Ford Rehab Clinic even though Houston thinks that she put it on her VISA Card which actually expired in 2006.
