SACREMENTO, CA - Richard Wright was returned a love letter from his friend, to his dismay.
"She [Sarah Smith] thought I was sending her a piece to be marked, I'm assuming," he said. He produced a tatty bit of paper with scribblings correcting grammar, spelling and written at the bottom was 'Inhopeless, I'm not an English teacher, but this is terrible creative writing.'
Wright said that she was studying for English Literature, which, he explained, would be why she edited his work.
"It's a real shame," he said. "Emails are terrible, and I lost my phone the other day. I thought a passionate letter written by hand would convey my true emotions."
As of press time, Wright was sat there being awkward and gazing longingly at Sarah while hanging out with her.
