Abandoned alligators have been increasingly seen roaming the streets of several Northern US cities miles away from their normal environment.
The abandoned alligators are now being used by state rodent/stray dog catchers to clean up the cities rodent/doggy problems.
Initially the sight of slightly forloren looking alligators roaming the streets caused havoc, panic and screaming non-alligator lovers to faint, but now the populations of the cities are getting used to the sight and rather like the idea of less rodents and scabby dogs scavenging all over their left-over rubbish.
"They are completely harmless as long as they catch a river rat or stray dog or two" quoted a city rat-catcher.
"But if they get hungry and can't find a rat or stray dog, please beware and don't let your children near them!?"
Every positive has a negative and reports of US innercity kiddies playgrounds being rather emptier than usual are being looked into!
