It has come to our attention that the recent story posted on this site "Christ Against Drilling Off Florida's Coast" was riddled with errors.

Not only has the author of the story gotten the spelling of Florida's governor, Charlie Crist, mixed up with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, but she has also misquoted Crist's secretary of tourism, Gladys Lipschtein. While Ms. Lipschtein does believe in God, she is not ready to acknowledge Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and cannot, therefore, attribute Florida's luck of being spared any catastrophic damage from the recent oil spill to Christ's intervention.

To make things clear. While the editors do believe in Jesus Christ and accept him as their personal Lord and Savior, they want to make certain everyone knows that that Christ is not the Charlie Crist, Governor of Florida, the person actually quoted in the aforementioned story.

We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this mix-up may have caused with our Christian and non-Christian readers.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
