Former Golden Girl Rue McClanahan has passed away at age 76.
Rue, the Samantha Jones of the geriatric set, achieved room temperature via stroke at 1 AM today, according to her manager.
Interestingly, Mcclanahan and Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall are the exact same age.
McClanahan is best known for her role as sexually liberated Southern belle Blanche Devereaux on the NBC comedy series The Golden Girls, a show about three hookers and their mom, which earned her four Emmy nominations and a win in 1913. Through every episode, Blanche continuously made jokes about her libido, which was striking, considering no one on earth would have sex with her.
"No, she was a pig," said co-star and fellow walking, talking fossil Betty White. "I mean, could you imagine someone sliding it in her? BP would have to scoop all of the oil out of the Guld just to lube her up. Bleech."
Betty White is now the only Golden Girl still living, and has decided to cover herself in bubblewrap to prevent any type of injury that would kill her.
Mcclanahanananan was predeceased by her husband, former NFL linebacker Bea Arthur.
