Unless you have been dead or living in a cave, you have been watching the Winter Olympics. If you have any brains, you have been DVRing them and therefore have avoided many of the advertisements that make up about half of the coverage of the Winter Olympic Games from Vancouver Canada - only on NBC!
Occasionally you go to the bathroom instead of fast-forwarding the commercials, and after seeing an inspiring story like the dude who won the first Canadian gold metal on Canadian soil, then relieving yourself, you come back to see the Swagger-Wagon advertisement.
Unless you have been dead or living in a cave you have heard about the woes of Toyota, who previously was known for quality, now is known as the "death-mobile" car manufacturer. Included in their Toyotas and Lexi are standard features such as "random pants-staining" acceleration and "are you feeling lucky" breaking systems.
Most of their advertisements lately have been to beg the public to trust that Toyota is fixing the problems. Well someone in the "Sienna" Department did not get the memo to tone things down.
This ad features a particularly idiotic family that are touting the "coolness" of owning a minivan - as long as it is the new Sienna. They have even dubbed their new Porsche replacement the "Swagger-Wagon". Really? I mean REALLY? Even if Toyota was not having these quality problems that have started a massive recall of their products, that commercial is extremely annoying and seems to be aimed at turning off potential customers. Why not just say "DON'T buy the new Sienna - hasn't been recalled (YET) but if it attracts these lame people, most normal people would not buy it anyways."
Thus, we seem to be witnessing the complete disintegration of one of the worlds most successful car makers, in the one last gasp of ego, as long as they still have got swagger!
