Texas - (Nepotism): President Obama paid tribute to his uncle George Bush senior yesterday and praised the old war-whorse for keeping his mouth shut about his Mom, Mary Jo Kopechne.
Mary Jo was Bush's sister and gave up her baby boy for adoption to protect the paternity ID of the Rev Jesse Jackson.
Bush Senior famously brokered a GOP/Dem war of attrition ceasfire over the existence of Kopechne's lovechild after the Senator Edward Kennedy DUI fracas.
"President Bush taught me the value of keepin' my mouth shut," Obama told an A&M University audience.
"He called for a vast galaxy of people and institutions to join him in the cover-up and the gamble's paid off handsomely!"
