Washington, DC - Flying humanoids, ten foot tall creatures with enormous wings, have been spotted at nighttime by residents of Washington, DC. Some have taken to leaving their homes with pots and spoons in hand, banging furiously to scare the creatures away.

Said one concerned housewife, "...At first I thought they might be relatives of the President. He has such a varied background and relations spread all over the world, you just never know what might crawl out of the woodwork. Especially now that it's summer and traditionally a time for long lost relatives to pay an unexpected visit. If they are his kin, I just hope he has a trailer or somethin' he can let them stay in. I know if they were my kin, I wouldn't want them in the house, proper. Maybe they can stay at the Super 8 out on the highway."

A state trooper, a part of the security around the White House perimeter stated, "Well, I don't think it would be one of his kin, but I have to admit, I know his pappy was from Kenya and I don't rightly know what a person from Kenya looks like. These are mighty tall folk we're dealing with and I was always undah the impression that the tall Africans came from Ethiopia, where at one time I believe there lived a tribe of nomads, the Syrbotae, who drank the milk of the dog faced baboon and grew to 12 feet tall. That is if you believe everythin' by that Roman guy, Pliny the Elder. But then again, he never made mention of them having wings. And mighty big ones at that."

Unfortunately, by the time the officer had finished his hypothesizing, the winged humanoids had left as fast as they had come, gone up into the dark blue sky obscured by the pale moon of a Washington night.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
