Everyone who caught the Conan O'Brien Show got a rare treat on Monday night-William Shatner reciting Sarah Palin's farewell speech in the style of a 50's beat poet.
Dressed fittingly in black, Shatner had a little trouble with the iambic pentameter so often associated with Palin's work, but he worked it out to the relief of the audience.
Due to the success of Shatner's recitation, Palin's spokesperson has contacted Shatner to express Palin's desire to have Shatner do her several more times. Shatner, flattered, declined, saying that he doesn't think he can do Palin's work justice and suggested she contact follow thespian, Kelsey Grammer, whom he says is known to do just about anybody.
