Some call it the last act of a desperate CEO; other industry analysts label the move "brilliant."

Sources inside General Motors have revealed that days before he stepped down, GM's former CEO Rick Wagoner introduced a plan to start building Chevrolet Fords.

"Just think," he said, "The Chevrolet Mustang convertible. The Escalade F-150 pick-up."

"It's so simple it's beautiful," auto industry analyst Herb J. Watertower said of the move. "I expect to see more of this appeal to what I call The American Consumer Heartland.

Watertower said he wouldn't be surprised if Wendy's starts marketing a Big Mac, or a Weezer starts singing Green Day songs.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
