Anti Abortion forces declared victory in the battle to take away women's control over their fertility once they have had s penis in them. In both the Pew and Yew surveys a majority of US residents sais that they do not like dying...theirs or anyone elses. The Preganacy Police of the Religious right have interpreted this to mean that Americans oppose abortion the way they do.
A closer look at the surveys show that almost 75% of respondents said that they supported legal abortion in some or all cases. Less than a quarter of those surveyed agreed that abortion should be illegal in all situations which is about as many Americans who supported Bush at the end of his pregnacy, er, presidency. Also coincidently more than 75% of human beings hoped Bush would have been aborted.
