Former Vice President and near-President Al Gore says he's tired of people saying he has no sense of humor and the "stiff' jokes he's been hearing for almost thirty years now.
He told reporters yesterday that back in the 1960's he ran an ad in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Chicago Tribune saying that the photographed property was now for sale, with a picture of The Grand Ole Opera building in Nashville. He then listed a well-known republican politician's number in Nashville.
He soon learned that the politician's office had received nearly 1200 calls from all over the country from those trying to purchase the Opry House until they finally had to quit answering their telephone and put in a new number.
"So I'm not such a stiff after all am I?", stated the stiff politician. "Wait till you're the victim of my next one! Hee Hee."
No, but a lot of us are getting suspicious of one certain movie and millions of dollars Gore has made giving speeches on, over the past six years!
