WASHINGTON (AP) - During a candid interview with Geraldo Rivera on NBC's Internight discussion program, President George W Bush spoke about his 'drink/drugs hell'.
President Bush explained, 'I couldn't even get prosecuted for DUI, as a cry for help. I had my license revoked in Maine, but Pop fixed it so that the arrest was hush-hush. Despite my behavior in Kennebunkport I still didn't get rehab. It was a cry for help, but my family got the conviction thrown out --- so I got no help --- no tough love'.
President Bush spoke about following his heart, 'I followed my heart. I had large sums of money and had access to unlimited cocaine, alcohol and loose women. I avoided cocaine, it plays havoc with your Libby-do [libido]. It was hell. That's why I only carried on for 15 years'.
