Friends of Mel Gibson's are brushing off talk that his marriage is in trouble.
"Mel just tried to help out a young singer and all this starts. Hollywood can be rough", stated one friend Gibson made while graduating from the Betty Ford University."
Gibson refused to talk at first but then suddenly he yelled, "If anything DOES happen to my marriage, it'll be Israel's fault! Go away!"
Two months ago, sources on his movie "Edge of Darkness" began telling stories about a dark-haired beauty named Oksana he'd invited to the set.
"No one is quite sure what her role is," said one insider, "but Mel seems to value her opinion."
However, it later emerged that director Martin Campbell had hired the 29-year-old Russian singer to write and possibly sing on some music for the film.
Now the Hollywood News alleges that Gibson's wife, Robyn, has grown suspicious.
"It may turn out that Mel's friendship with the woman is innocent, but Robyn warned him that if he embarrassed her one more time, their marriage is dead and buried," one source stated.
Robyn reportedly told a reporter friend recently that "Even if it's another loud fart at the Catholic Church during services. He's always doing that and suddenly staring and shaking his head at ME and thinks that's so funny. Just one more embarrassment and that's it."
Apparently there is no prenup. Mel's worth nearly a billion dollars and that fortune could be in play.
Gibson's rep is telling reporters the divorce rumors "are 100% untrue." "Their marriage is a happy one. Someone got mad at Gibson and started this stuff.He's just been drinking a little. You can tell because that's when he starts in on the Jews. From the juice to the Jews ha ha."
The last anyone saw of Gibson on the set, someone asked him what he was drinking.
"It sure the shit ain't Manischewitz!".
