The leader of a small village here in Peru, who asked that his name not be reported, told a reporter from ABC News this morning that he is sick and tired of periodicals like The National Enquirer, The Sun and others telling lies about his village.
"Nothing like these happen here! Look at these headlines", stated the man who held up "Baby Born With Two Heads, One A Monkey, in A Small Village in Peru!", "Adolf Hitler Alive and Living in A Small Village in Peru!" and "Village Made Up Entirely of Village Idiots in A Small Village in Peru!.
"We are just normal everyday people here and nothing weird or unusual goes on, except the fire ant invasion last summer. But did anyone come out here to report on that? No!
"In fact, you ABC reporter is first reporter we have seen from anywhere. Go back and tell the rest of the world the truth.
"Look out! Fire ants!"
