With the November election looming large, both vice-presidential candidates were busy this week trying to win undecided voters in crucial swing states.
At a crowded parasailing convention in Daytona Beach, Florida the Republican candidate fired the first salvo: "I'm Sarah Palin and I really do love parasailin'!"
Within minutes at a rally near Aspen, Colorado the Democratic hopeful countered: "Joe Biden wrote the book on paraglidin'!"
Against the backdrop of a freefalling economy, the candidates continued to level attacks against one another.
"Who does Joe Biden think he's fooling by pretending to be a supporter of the para-arts?" inquired Governor Palin.
"Maybe Ms. Palin should check her facts before she accuses me of not being a longtime supporter of aerial pursuits," retorted Senator Biden.
"Wow, this is not helping me make a decision one bit," lamented one observer.
