The backmarker of the pack celebrates his 60th birthday today. Rider Tommy Leathwood is the only surviving member of the motorcycle pack in which the leader famously died in 1965.
Leathwood told TheSpoof.com "I always took it slow. Some people said I was yellow being the backmarker of the pack but hey, I'm still here".
Commenting on the pack leader Leathwood said he still missed Jimmy but said the dead rider only had himself to blame. "I was always telling Jimmy to slow down. Then he got himself sweet on a chick with a nasally whiny voice. Man, we couldn't stand her or her two friends. Always hanging round the candy store".
Jimmy died in 1965 after being told he couldn't go steady by his girlfriend's father. However a rumour persists to this day that Jimmy is still alive and faked his own death.
Mounting his 2-stroke moped, Leathwood told TheSpoof.com "I wouldn't be surprised. Anything to get away from all that weeping and screechy singing".
