Famous for his straight talk and reluctant to kiss ass the way conventional politicians do, McCain blazed a non conformist trail throughout his political career. That is until this year.
Under the pressure of his age, McCain is believed to have succumbed to last chance betrayal of life long principles and values syndrome.
Anti-lobbyist McCain surrounded himself with a battalion of corrupt... lobbyists. The only Republican with the nerve to reject the hateful intolerance of the religious right courted anti- Catholic and anti-Muslim religious demagogues for their bigoted seal of approval.
Finally this week the old, old McCain reemerged expelling lobbyists and intolerant clergymen like Jesus in the Temple with the moneylenders.
