GM's announcement earlier this week about producing a 'driverless vehicle' has Police across the nation lobbying against production focusing mainly on the current drunk driving laws.

"We rely heavily on the revenue created from our traffic stops, to the point where we have to pull people over for absolutely no reason and issue citations just to ensure funding for our departments." says Sheriff Dave Black of Skam County Police Force. "Heck DUI's alone give us a guaranteed thousand dollars every time we accuse someone. With a driverless car we will see a cut in revenue of at least twelve thousand a week, how in hell are we going to afford our Krunchy Creams then?"

Joining the Fray is MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Spokesman err.. Woman Abbi Challot "You would think that we would perceive this as a major victory, however you have to think about the MADD organization, without all those drunk drivers on the road we would have nobody to hate, besides we cant just change our name to Mothers Against Jay-Walking, that would require a lot of paperwork and a new business license."

General motors head marketer announced they are willing to compromise by pre programming all D-L vehicles to swerve erratically and run red lights after midnight
