Fast-coffee chain, Starbucks, are to cut back on costs by making all their latte drinks with water instead of milk. The new drink, going under the name of 'New-Coffee' is said to already be a big hit.
Snaffle McLaughty, general manager of the largest Starbucks in Las Vegas said:
"Whoa that drink's mighty-fine. It has all the taste of a latte, but without that milky texture and flavour. In many ways, it's closer to real coffee than real coffee is."
"We make the drink using a clever combination of water and coffee. The water's hot and disperses the ground coffee beans. I suppose the drinker might decide to add a little milk or cream, but that's a personal choice."
New-Coffee is said to be on trial.
