Washington (IPP) - The Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) sponsored bill to make corn an illegal food source passed the House of Representatives first reading today and is now on its way to the Senate where passage of the new law is considered to be a slam dunk by most political observers.
The reason given by the authors of the new bill is that corn has become far too important as a fuel source and the food market will no longer be allowed to compete for this valuable commodity.
Oddly enough the genetic engineering that many suspected had made corn unsafe to eat was used as part of the argument by the FDA to make corn illegal for human consumption where once they protected the corn seed industry by insisting it had been safe to eat.
