According to a statement realesed by Press Secretary Scott McClellan today, GW's lack of popularity with the ladies is due to a sex appeal recession - that the administration inherited from the Clinton era.
"At the end of the Clinton era presidential sex appeal was at an all time high" claims McClellan, "the only way to go was down and down we have gone."
"The problem is" adds McClellan, "that no-one will go down on the president. We lined up all the chubby interns in the White House but none of them would have any of it."
"He's gross" says intern Sheryl Manson, "his face looks like broken umbrellas."
McClellan maintains that the fault lies not with Bush's malignantly shapeless face but rather with the glaringly beautiful face of Clinton.
"The Clinton administration left America with a false impression of just how sexy a president could be. The fact that the president became less sexy the very instant Bush was elected is just the domino effect of Clinton's sexiness bubble."
