Washington DC - (Ass Mess): Former radio shock-jock Don 'Nappy-Headed Ho' Imus is in the frame to replace Karl Rove as the Bush Administration's top strategist.
Rove has been dumped after CIA top brass rebelled in the aftermath of the Scooter Libby perjury pardon which has left them 'the laughing stock of the international spook community' according to one insider source sympathetic to Valerie Plame's disastrous outing.
Imus has been out of work since an unfortunate contretemps over his smearing of Rutgers University women's netball team.
"Other than that little misdemeanour, he's the perfect man to revitalise the Administration's profile," Capitol Hill sources said today.
"Sure, he might have to go on a little re-orientation course to bring him up to speed as President Bush's new chief strategist.
"But we see him getting along really well with Tony Snow and Laura Bush thinks he's funny enough to compliment the Administration's public face."
A statement from Imus's lawyers is expected soon.
