Washington DC - (Ass Mess): Condoleezza Rice is set to declare herself a Presidential candidate for the 2008 elections on July 4th, Independence Day according to DC sources.
The high-powered Secretary of State has been receiving secret GOP coaching in a campaign that will pitch her as the "sane black woman" of politics versus the "mad, bad Hillary" of the Democrats.
Rice has so far shied away from the whole 2008 election buisness on direct orders from Karl Rove who has waited patiently for confirmation that Chevron/Texaco will not press charges against Rice's spying on their top shareholders prior to her appointment to the Bush Administration in January 2001.
But Chevron has been extremely reticent about their plans save for scrubbing the name "The Condoleezza Rice" off one of their tankers which they renamed the mysterious "Altair Voyager" in July 2001 after fending off press demands to know the nature of Rice's harrassment of their executive shareholders.
All that may now change as the Chevron Board votes later this week what action if any to take on going public with the details of Rice's eight year reign of terror as a non-exec director spying on the Corporation's exploration of Helium 3 fields in the South Pacific.
However, DC sources are adamant that Rice is confident of her future and will unveil herself as the official GOP best-backed candidate during a July 4th press conference announcing her candidacy.
Internet spread betting bookies Aintgottaprayer.com go 3/1 on Condi being made the GOP official candidate on a dream ticket scenario cooked up by Karl Rove that will see Mitt Romney as her potential Veep.
