The Fraternal Order of Police Dogs (FOPD) has issued a statement condemning Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's decision to place the family pet, an Irish Setter with the unfortunate moniker 'Seamus' in a dog carry kennel atop the family's station wagon.
FOPD President Rex said that he is disgusted by Romney's action. "What a sick bastard. Seamus should have bitten him on the ass", Rex said.
The Fraternal Order of Police Dogs is an organization which usually steers clear of political issues. However, the circumstances in this case were apparently too difficult to ignore.
Romney continues to downplay the whole incident, insisting that Seamus enjoyed the ride. Rex, in contrast doesn't believe a word of it. "If Mitt, what the hell kind of name is that anyway, thinks riding in a cage strapped to the top of a car is so much fun, let's see him do it."
