After delivering a stinging dissertation on the ineffectiveness, unprofessional, inflammatory, and completely mishandled foreign policy put into effect by the current administration, Jimmy Carter has back tracked a little on his declaration.
When pressed by the media during a visit to his tailors, where he was being fitted with a Kevlar vest, former President Carter stated that the invitation by VP Dick Cheney to join him in a quail hunting trip next week had nothing to do with his decision to recant some of the more caustic statements.
"Really, no really, absolutely no impact on my decision, after all I am not a layer," declared Carter.
