Students who displayed a Bong4Jesus banner during the Olympic torch relay from their high school window were denied the right of free speech by their principal. Now Pat Robertson and an array of Christian conservative groups are filing friend of the court briefs to support the students vs the school administration.

The Bob Marly and Cheech and Chong fan clubs have joined the Christian Broadcasting Network in support of the students: "Yo, dudes, whoever this Jesus cat is, it's fine with us as long as Bong, our Lord and Savior, is in the message. . . Like MacLuhan said: 'the marijuana is the massage'.
