A study released this week reveals that George Bush is not smart. The paper, by the National Association of Institutes and Foundations (NAIF), could go a long way toward explaining some of the president's recent policy problems.
"We checked a few things and determined that he's not intelligent", said NAIF chairman C. Loulis Guy.
The information came as a surprise to opponents of the White House's current policies, who had him down as coarse, bullheaded, condescending, inflexible, boorish and rude.
"Who would have thought he was dumb?" Remarked Nancy Pelosi, newly minted SOH, and, apparently, a woman. "We were caught off guard. We didn't know that politicians could be stupid." No one at NAIF could explain why Ms. Pelosi has started talking in the third person.
"Maybe now would be a good time to review the entire government and see if there are anymore morons. We doubt if that's the case, though."
Calls to NAIF were not returned, They can't set-up their voice mail.
