Funny story written by Tre Droll

Friday, 21 March 2014

It was a dark day of anger and irony today when Facebook co-founder, kid billionaire and professional toe-rag Mark Zuckerberg made much sound and fury over the U.S. Intelligence agents employing a campaign of digital surveillance. His frustration filled declamations arriving no more than a day after a leak revealed that the National Security Agency, had set up a clone site of Facebook to infect target's computers with spyware. A standard tactic of dark-side hackers the world over.

The NSA were quick to their own defence stating that Mr. Zuckerberg was "inaccurate" in his statements as well as a "lying poo-poo head" and that the agency only "uses its technical capabilities in support of lawful and appropriate foreign intelligence operations, all of which must be carried out in a strict accordance with its authorities." A long-winded way of saying 'did not!', leaving some commentators to ponder whether the agency is using the Nixonian definition of the word 'lawful'.

Not one to take such perceived threats to their cherished 'digital autonomy' lying down, Zuckerberg has joined forces with other Fortune 500 'tech. geniuses' at Google, Apple, Microsoft, Twitter and Yahoo; deciding that when it comes to web-monitoring, censorship and privacy violations they have been doing it better if not longer and the NSA pose a common threat to their racket.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
