ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST
by Frank Lloyd Wright
In the effort to make New York City the most modern of all cosmopolitan urban centers in the world, the Empire State Building is set to be demolished this coming March.
Too, the uber modern, Museum Of Modern art is set to expand and in its path is the just-completed American Folk Art Museum. That museum, which critics have called "a monstrous attempt at retro Bauhaus" will be soon destroyed to make way for the expansion.
As the old Pennsylvania Station, Yankee Stadium and 2 Columbus Circle are a thing of the past, to make way for the new, the Empire State Building will join them.
Said, Robin Wright, who lives in an up-scale apartment in the new-place-to-be Brooklyn, as she sipped her glass of Pinot Noir, "It's all just so exciting. I ca'n't wait to see what they destroy next. Perhaps it will be the Statue Of Liberty with that 'send us your huddled masses yearning to be free' meme" she said.
"You've got to be kidding! This is 2014. That's all so much in the past. What are the huddled masses coming here going to do? They'll just join the unemployment lines!"
