In a press release issued today, barbecue maker Char-Broil announced the company has won the contract to supply the Vatican stoves used in the process to select the next pope.
"It's basically our model number 600-series combination grill and smoker with a few modifications so they can burn the papal ballots and also bake up some communion wafers if they want to," explained Char-Broil spokesperson Subaru Weisenfeld.
According to Weisenfeld, the 115 cardinals who will select the pope also purchased several accessories to go along with their new stoves.
"Their order included a bag of mesquite smoker chips and a rack for barbecuing jalapeno poppers."
