BEVERLY HILLS - "Teenage Dream" pop diva singer Katy Perry appeared pale and drained today as she took a back door to exit the Beverly Center. "It looked like she was trying to avoid being recognized at all costs," said a mall employee who spotted her leaving, wearing huge black sunglasses that almost covered her entire face. "She was wearing an oversized beanie that covered her hair," added the employee, "but it was easy to tell it was her."
A cook from the mall kitchen also happened to catch a sighting of the Grammy Winner. "Yeah, I know Katy Perry real well, hell yeah! Are you kidding me? Of course it was her. She shops here all the time," he assured. "A friend told me she was buying maternity clothes and trying them on, but she ordered the store employees to give all their electronic devices to her security detail. She also gave them all extra tips to turn off the surveillance cameras."
More proof that Katy Perry is pregnant is that her friend Cindy Zena sent her a bunch of baby gifts. "@cindyzena thanks for my sweet gifts," tweeted Katy earlier today.
So who's the baby's father? Is it Katy's soon-to-be-ex-husband Russell Brand?
"Russell Brand would totally freak if he finds out," said a close friend of the British actor. "He would have never filed for divorce if he had known Katy was expecting. Katy hid the pregnancy from him."
Katy's rep declined to comment.
