Self-styled Superhero Phoenix Jones, who was arrested Saturday in Seattle for assault has had his true identity revealed as Benjamin Fodor, age 23, a man who has no military training, no martial arts training and indeed has a criminal record containing over 22 arrests.

Jones (AKA Fodor) likes nothing more than dressing up in a tight fighting superhero costume and mask and fighting crime. He carries with him a pepper spray can. Unfortunately the bumbling superhero does not seem to prevent or solve crime, on the contrary, he usually ends up injured, attacking innocent bystanders or arrested.

The truth though, can now be revealed. Fodor is a comic book enthusiast and collector, who has been described by classmates at his former high school as the school nerd and wimp. His superhero persona came about entirely due to his low self-esteem and obvious mental health issues.

Police in Seattle have had enough. They are attempting to have him placed in a mental institution for his own good.

''He will end up either killed or facing a very large lawsuit, this has to stop, he is not a real superhero, he is a very sad individual who is a danger to himself and others'' said SPD spokesman Paddy O' Shea ''In any case, we don't need his help, we have Oscar the Wonder Dog who is a real superhero helping us out. ''

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
