Washington--Rick Perry promises everyone will be forced get their vaccinations when he becomes president.
"I think it is my civic duty to force everyone to get vaccinations, even if they don't need it. Government shouldn't interfere in business, but they should tell citizens they need to get vaccinated for everything from the flu to rabies." Rick Perry said at the Tea Party debate. "I am sick of reading stories every ten years about people that get rabies, when it is like, duh, why didn't you get vaccinated in the first place."
Rick Perry's promise was met with boos, but in classic Rick Perry form, he just grinned and looked a little confused.
When Wolf Blitzer asked if he truly felt government should interfere with the private lives of citizens, Mr. Perry said: "It isn't government interference if I give an executive order."
On a side note, Merck's stock went up five points on the promise of increased profits when Perry becoming president.
