A spokesman for the Duchess of Cambridge has announced that, yes, the rumours are all true. Kate was mistaken for a tree the other day, whilst on a tour of Birmingham with her husband the Duke.
"The mistake was due to Kate's prettily decorated tailored jacket, you see." Confirmed the Spokesman "On a normal small person the decoration would look like just that - decoration. But because the Duchess is so tall, the jacket decoration looked like the stem of a very tall willowy tree."
He went on to say that it was perfectly understandable that a passing bird got confused and tried to build a nest in her hair, which did resemble on that day, the top of a lolipop tree.
After several hours at a local hairdressing salon, the bird was said to have been safely removed from the tree, sorry Kate's hair, and Kate then carried on with her Royal Visit.
But her spokesman said that wasn't quite the end of the story. Her lady in waiting made a note that Kate should never to wear that jacket again. So she sent it to Kelly Osbourne... to wear as a very long dress. She needs all the clothes she can get.
