Zara Philips' wedding dress designer has been announced and the revelation will come as a shock to some because the dress has been made by a current outcast from the fashion world.
That outcast is John Galliano and he is said to have told friends that he took his inspiration for the dress from internet web pirates. So the dress could very well have a slighly nautical appearance and it could also have a spider web veil.
Zara Philips is said not to be very interested in fashion, so it wasn't a surprise to learn that she did not know that Galliano had fallen out of favour with the popular crowd. And, as tradition dictates that a bride does not reveal secrets about her wedding dress until the day of her wedding, no one was able to warn Zara about her terrible mistake until it was too late.
But with the wedding only one day away, there was very little that Zara could do to fix the situation. The only option she had left to her was to disguise the label in the back of the dress.
For this purpose, she hired the services of a company with a very big pair of scissors who went round to her hotel in Edinburgh last night and snipped the Galliano label right out of the dress. They then replaced it with another less controversial label but no one will know what that label is until tomorrow.
The services of the company with the very big pair of scissors cost a mere £20,000, and Zara thought that that was a real snip of a bargain. The Big Scissor Company totally saved the day and are offering their services to anyone else who wants to still wear Galliano's beautiful dresses but are too embarrassed to because the name of his fashion house has now been tarnished by racist rants in French public Houses.
The wedding will take place tomorrow, and the bride will look beautiful, all because of John Galliano and a very big pair of scissors. And no one will ever know about the terrible last minute panic in the House of Windsor. Never!! Sshh... Don't tell anyone.
