Gerry and Kate McCann, whose daughter Madeleine was abducted from Praia De Luz, Portugal in 2007, appear highly unlikely to align themselves alongside Katie Price, as the former page three model wages a war against sick jokes.
Especially those made on television by ginger haired Scotsmen who occasionally sport a beard.
It may just be coincidence, but there has definitely been a resurgence of sick Kate, Gerry and Maddie jokes in recent days, mirroring the furore kicked up by Katie Price over a barbed gag aimed at her severely disabled son, Harvey.
It seems unlikely however, that Kate and Gerry will come out in public to support Katie Price's anti-sick joke crusade, even though they themselves find that they are in a similar situation.
"That won't happen," SEN supremo Buffty Ginslinger opined. "The McCanns are more interested in getting their daughter back than in joining anti-joke campaigns. From what I've been able to ascertain, the only publicity they are currently seeking is aimed at funding the ongoing hunt for their daughter. Personally, I can't imagine them coming out in support of some pneumatic breasted trollop whose only goal in life is to continually have her trout pout published on the front page of the Daily Star."
At this point in time, it isn't yet known if Katie Price's representatives have contacted the McCanns requesting that they join in her anti-sick joke campaign, but respected media analysts have stated that they wouldn't put it past her.
