The Deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg, has totally confused everyone at a rally in Basingstoke over AV.
He turned up at the Fanny Craddock Memorial Hall in the town with a Canon RE-350 Video Visualiser AV Presenter and a video on pigeons which he proceeded to show and discuss to a rather bemused yet totally confused audience.
He only realised something was wrong when the after-event call for questions didn't produce a single query. Mr Clegg said that he expected at least one harangue and several calls for the DibLems to leave the coalition, but he was greeted by total silence and much snoring.
Local party activist Graham Dense felt that Mr Clegg may have taken up the Prime Minister's instructions wrongly.
It seems Mr Cameron had told Mr Clegg to "go to the regions and set the cat among the pigeons with AV". Misunderstanding what the Prime Minister had said, rather than "getting a debate going on Alternative Voting", Mr Clegg had used an "Audio Visual system to show cats chasing pigeons".
Nick Griffin is totally unpleasant.
