Staff on Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is are coming to terms with the first success of vigilante TV Repair Man.
One 'runner' and a member of the sound crew on the antique buying and selling show have quit following threats to their families.
Television production staff have been living in fear since Tuesday when the TV Repair Man announced his agenda.
He is demanding an end to TV reality shows and a complete revamp of daytime TV programming.
The soundman, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: "I don't need this. As soon as the TV Repair Man went public strange things started happening - like our bins not being collected and the corner shop not having my usual brand of wine gums!
"I'd been wanting out, anyway, wanting to get into films. And he has a point, the TV Repair Man, doesn't he? It is mostly crap."
In an e-mail message sent to EIF News & Features, the TV Repair Man said: "This is just the beginning. These two are small fry, mere accomplices.
"The real criminals are still at large. They will pay and continue to pay until my demands are met and the television-viewing public is treated with respect."
